Career Cruising

In the career cruising website I picked 5 of my top matches that I was interested in to explain what they are. Animator: Create 2D or 3D animations for a movie, cartoons, and other animated stories. Illustrator: Assist in story telling through a series of images depicting the story. Cartoonist/Comic Illustrator: Draw comics to entertain the reader usually through comedy. Video Game Designer: Create story, character design, graphics, backgrounds, and technical sides of video games. Graphic Designer: Make logos, advertisements, package designs, and website designs for businesses. I personally and the most interested in video game design. I love video games myself and think that making them would be great. It's a hobby of mine to create stories and often find myself making new ones without even thinking too much about it. There's inspiration for stories and characters everywhere in my eyes. Sometimes I'll see a person in public that just catches my eye and it

SketchUp Project

SketchUp was quite the interesting program. It was easy for me to handle the basics due to having previous experience with it. There were difficulties later on in the project. Occasionally there would be some problems with the measurements of the windows and roof. Near the end I was extremely confused on what our instructor meant by seamless textures. I thought it was referring to the black outlines not being there so I worked for a long time trying to figure out how to make my project "seamless." Overall the project was enjoyable. This will be my last animation project until potentially fourth quarter. If I do pick animation as one of my classes next year I'm hoping for frame by frame 2D animation. The plans were difficult for me to work with as it would have been handy if they provided meas

10 Words Animation Project

10 Words Animation Project This project was a project involving choosing 10 words to describe ourselves. We would put them into an animation as our first project. First I came up with several words, which were lost due to saving issues. I rewrote what I could remember and wrote in a few for those I couldn't. These words were put into photoshop along with my name. Our teacher, Mr Netterville, explained how to use the software for animation. It made sense, but I had a few trouble with technical difficulties; such as losing a word or not being able to change the opacity correctly. With the help of some classmates I eventually figured out everything and continued working. After completing the basic animation I fixed the words so they wouldn't cross on top of each other during the animation. I looked at the animation before leaving class for the day and realized it was very boring. Before lunch I decided to come back at the time to visit teachers during lunch so I could
